When it comes to complex building systems, BIM turns the impossible a reality.
John A. Penney Company, Inc., utilizes Building Information Modeling for the coordination, planning, and procurement phases of the project on projects large and small. We employ a staff of both senior designers and full-time in-house designers. In addition, many of our field personnel are capable of supporting our modeling efforts. By combining a Collaborative Project Delivery Method with a full Building Information Model, we provide our customers with a product that exceeds their expectations and eliminates many of the pitfalls that burden the traditional construction process.

We have performed these projects under various types of contracts. Some have been completed on a Cost Plus basis with a target GMP. The majority, after the completion of the design, are converted to a traditional lump sum contract with the amount bas
We perform 100% of our BIM coordination in-house.
We use a combination of Revit MEP and Autocad MEP to build our models. We then use Navisworks Manage along with cloud based 3D viewing services like BIM360 Glue or Autodesk Construction Cloud for our clash detection and resolution process.
BIM Coordination allows contractors to identify clashes early on during the design and construction processes. These clashes can be resolved during the early phases of construction and can produce clash-free designs, mainstream prefabrication methods and allow contractors to optimize the allocation of materials, equipment and labor.
